Chest (Inches)

Measuring: You will need a cloth tape measurement and a friend. Wear a lightweight shirt - a t-shirt is great. Stand up straight with your arms hanging straight by your sides. Breathing normally, have your friend wrap the tape measure under your armpits around the largest part of your chest. In the back, you want the tape measure to wrap across your shoulder blades. The tape measure should be snug, but not tight. Keep the measuring tape parallel to the ground.
Front Chest (inches)

Measurements; Measure the width of the chest from armpit to armpit. Don't dig into the armpit, but start at the point where the arm meets the chest. Measure at or just above the nipples.
Back (inches)

Measurement; Measure the width of the back from armpit to armpit across the shoulder blades, Don't dig into the armpit, but start at the point where the arm meets the back.
Stomach or Jacket Waist (inches)
*
Measurements; Measure the circumference of the abdomen about 1 inch above the belly button. Make sure the tape is parallel to the ground across the front and back.
Seat (inches)
*
Measure the circumference of the seat at the widest portion of the hips and buttocks area. Make sure the tape is parallel tot eh ground across the front side and back.
Shoulder (inches)
*
Measure across the top of the shoulders, starting and stopping just outside the edge of the client's acromion bones. Make sure that the middle of the measurements lands on the protruding spine bone on the back of the bone on the back of the neck.
R. Sleeve (inches)
*
Measurements; Start from the edge of the acromion bone on the shoulder, stopping at the outside edge of the elbow (indicated here by the green mark), and ending one inch past where the wrist bends. Make sure you start in the exact same place where you ended the shoulder measurement.
Jacket Length (inches)
*
Start on the top of the shoulder at the intersection of the shoulder and the neck. Measure straight down to where the fingers come out the palm. This is typically at the bottom of the crotch (not of the bottom of the pants crotch) Make sure your looking forward and not down.
Shirt Length (inches)
*
Start on the top of the shoulder at the intersection of the shoulder and the neck. Measure straight down to where the fingers come out the palm. This is typically at the bottom of the crotch (not of the bottom of the pants crotch) Make sure your looking forward and not down.
Overcoat Length (inches)

Start at the same place you start for jacket length, where the shoulder and neck intersects. make sure your looking forward. Pea coat Length how long you want the pea coat to be and measure to that point. This is typically a just a few inches then a normal suit jacket length. Knee-Length Overcoat How the do you want the Overcoat to be. Typically, it will just stretch just below the knees.
Armhole (inches)

Measurement, Left your arm and start at the top of the shoulder and under the armpit and back to the top of the shoulder. Then relax your arm back down at your side.
Bicep (inches)

Measure the circumference of the bicep at the largest point.
Forearm (inches)
*
Measure the circumference of the forearm at the largest point, This point is not the elbow bone, but just below. It is where the forearm muscles are biggest.
Neck (inches)
*
Measure the circumference of the neck, just below the adam's apple. Move your head around to make sure if it feels right!
Vest Front Length (inches)
*
Measure from the side of neck to the length desired including vest points. Typical a well-fitted vest should be long enough to cover your waist.
Vest Back Length (inches)
*
Measure from below back of collar until desired length. Typical a well-fitted vest should be long enough to cover your waist.
Waist (inches)
*
Measure the circumference of your waist where you wear your suit pants.
Crotch (inches)
*
This is the U-shaped crotch measurement; Begin at the top of the waistband in the front of the client and measure down under the crotch, coming up to the top of the waist band in the back. Make sure the pants are situated on your waist where you want it. Also make sure you are comfortable.
Outseam (inches)
*
Measure, start at the top of the waistband and measure the length of the pants. Break in pants (normal or comfort fit) measure to the floor if not wear shoes. if your wearing shoes measure to the soles of the shoe. Sight break or no break Measure shorter then above .5 to .75 inches
Thigh (inches)
Measure the circumference of the thigh just an inch or two below the crotch. Make sure the tape is parallel to the ground in front and back.
Knee (inches)

Measure the circumference of the knee right over the middle of the knee cap. Make cure the tape is parallel to the ground in front and back of the knee.
High Waist
The High Waist Placement (Naval). needs to have the measurement around the naval area.
Knees (circumference)
*
This is for the circumference of the location of the bottom of your skirt. ie mini skirt, Knee Length or Calf Length. Make sure that the measurement is comfortable to walk.
Low Waist
Measure the circumference where you would have your jeans waist line at.
Middle Waist Placement
Seat to Waist Height
*
This is the measurement from your seat measurement to where you measured your waist.
Skirt Length
*
This measurement is from your waist measurement to your desired skirt length.
L. Sleeve
*
